CVR Refining is temporarily reducing production at its Coffeyville, Kansas refinery.
In a news release, the company says the reason is Magellan Midstream Partners has suspended use of an eight-inch refined petroleum products pipeline that runs from Coffeyville to Kansas City, Kansas.
CVR Refining, which is based in Sugar Land, Texas says that pipeline transports up to 30,000 barrels per day from the refinery. It is one of three pipelines that transport the refinery's products.
The company anticipates the pipeline suspension will limit the refinery's ability to ship products for up to four weeks. A reason for the suspension was not given.
The company says the refinery has a capacity of 115,000 barrels per day.
