Tulsa businessman Charlie Cohlmia introduced News On 6 Anchor Terry Hood to a special friend Monday.
His name is Joppa, and he is one of only five robots of his type in the U.S.
"I'm so excited to meet you," Joppa tells Terry. "I watch you every night!"
He moves and speaks so naturally, it's almost human-like.
"We brought him here to rent them, so it's robot rentals is what we've done," Cohlmia said. "It's the first robot rental company in the world."
Cohlmia said Tulsa's Joppa robot is the 95th one ever made. The rest are mostly in Asia.
Joppa will be unveiled to the public Tuesday.
