Troopers say a driver ran off following a fatality collision that killed a 25-year-old Coweta man Saturday evening.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports the crash took place around 7:30 p.m. on County Road 365 about 3 miles west of Porter.

According to OHP, Tyler Russell of Wagoner was driving northbound about a mile south of State Highway 51B when his Jeep went off the road and rolled into a ditch. Roberto Huff was a passenger in the SUV.

He was taken by medical helicopter to Tulsa where he was pronounced dead with head and other injuries.

There were four other passengers in the 1999 Jeep including two 15-year-old boys. Tara Ross, 23, of Porter was admitted to the hospital with head injuries. Cordelia Leonard, 23, of Coweta was admitted with head and trunk injuries, the collision report states.

Troopers say neither of the 15-year-old boys required hospitalization.

The 26-year-old driver ran off before emergency personnel arrived. Authorities say no one was wearing a seatbelt.
