Benefit Held For Tulsa Police Officer Fighting Cancer

One of Tulsa's finest just got a devastating diagnosis.

Tulsa Police Sergeant Gary Neece has been a police officer for 24 years and is a published author. He just learned he has an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Area first responders rallied around Neece and his family by showing up by the hundreds at a fundraiser Wednesday night at Burn Co Barbeque on South Boston.

Neece has a child in high school and one in college and his wife is a school teacher.

He's already had one brain surgery and is getting ready to start additional treatment.

He expressed great appreciation for everyone's support.
