Pop-up showers and scattered storms continue to threaten parts of Green Country.

News On 6 meteorologist Stacia Knight says the highest chance of storms continues to be south of I-40, but later this evening bands will start to move north.

But, as the day continues, we’re likely to see a break during the evening and overnight hours before around round of storms Friday morning.

Knight says the chance of scattered storms will continue into Friday afternoon.

Saturday morning there is less of a chance of storms, but they are possible, and chances slightly increase during the evening.

Despite the chance of rain, temperatures will start to feel more like summer Saturday with highs in the mid-80s.

Once we get to Sunday, Knight says things will finally start to dry out for a bit.
