Police took a 37-year-old Tulsa man to jail after a short chase and crash late Sunday.
Officers said they spotted a white Ford pickup without a license plate headed west on Haskell near Lewis just after 11 p.m. James Colley sped off, driving through the neighborhood before crashing into a fence at Florence and Admiral Place.
Colley then got out of the truck and ran, but officers quickly caught up with him and arrested him.
The police report said during the foot chase, Colley threw away a syringe and a baggy suspected of containing drugs. Both items were recovered. Police said the truck also turned out to be stolen.
James Colley was booked into the Tulsa County jail on a number of complaints including eluding, possession of drugs, driving under suspension and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Jail records show he has a court appearance set for June 7.
