A jury convicted a man Friday afternoon of murder in the death of 14-year-old April Montano two years ago.
Montano died after being shot while riding on the Gilcrease Expressway on May 29, 2014.
Friday afternoon the jury convicted David Ruble of murder, attempted robbery and conspiracy in her death. The jury recommended life in prison.

Prosecutors said it was a botched robbery.
The family had stopped for dinner on their way home that night, but realized restaurants were closed, so they got on the Gilcrease Expressway, heading home to north Tulsa.
April's father realized the vehicle was being hit by bullets and told everyone to get down. But April's brother, Jorge, remembers his sister was asleep, with her head against the window. She didn't hear the warning.
When Jorge tried to pull her down to the floor of their truck, he says it was too late. April had been shot in the head. She died later that night at the hospital.
Prosecutors say Ruble and two other men -- Travis Lozada and Demonte Rushing -- wanted to steal the family's four-wheelers being hauled behind their truck.
Ruble is scheduled to be sentenced July 25, 2016.
Lozada and Rushing are awaiting trial.
