Police say a woman stabbed a 16-year-old suspect to death in south Tulsa late Monday. Authorities are searching for two other suspects in what they say was a home invasion.
Officers were called to the Woodland Oaks Apartments in the 7200 block of South 90th East Avenue around 11:15 p.m.
Police say two teen suspects entered an apartment, and held a couple inside at gunpoint. They ransacked the apartment while holding the couple at gunpoint on a couch, according to Homicide Detective Dave Walker.
The woman's brother showed up and surprised the suspects. The brother and male resident then fought with the suspects, Walker said.
Walker said during the struggle, one of the suspects dropped a gun. The woman grabbed a knife and stabbed the 16-year-old, killing him. He died there at the apartment, Walker said.
Officers said the the victims then held down the other teen until police arrived.
Police are now looking for a two suspects who they say were outside the apartment as lookouts.
EMSA took the male resident and a 14-year-old teen suspect to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. Police say the teen was treated and then taken to the Tulsa County jail.
Police have not released any names.
