Police: Tulsa Woman Left Kids Home Alone While She Used Meth

Police arrested a woman they say left her four young children in an apartment alone Thursday morning so she could use meth.

Police booked Christina Brown, 28, into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of child neglect.  

Maintenance workers discovered the children alone in an apartment littered with trash and food and called police at 9:22 a.m., police said.  The apartment is in the 2800 block of South 115th East Avenue.

When Brown returned she told police she'd left the children with her boyfriend at 5:30 a.m.  Police said Christina Brown admitted she left to use meth.

This isn't the first time Brown has faced a charge of child neglect. Court records show she was given a five-year deferred sentence for child neglect in 2013.  

Police said Christina Brown had left a 19-month-old child at her brother's residence and the child had walked outside in the dark.  Her brother had asked her to not leave the child because he was involved in a domestic argument with his wife. Police said Brown called them after hearing a news report about her daughter and was arrested.
