Police are looking for three men who robbed a man of more than $2,000 during a suspected drug deal Thursday afternoon.

The victim says he arrived at the U-Stop convenience store in the 2500 block of Mohawk Boulevard at around 5:15 p.m. to buy marijuana from three men. He told police he had second thoughts about the buy and tried to back out.  As he tried to leave, the victim said he was pistol whipped and forced to hand over $2,300 before the three robbers ran away.

Police searched the area around the nearby Mohawk Manor apartments, but could not find the suspects.

EMSA paramedics treated the victim for his injuries, but did not take him to the hospital.
