Just in time for summer vacations, the Tulsa Botanic Gardens has opened a garden just for kids.
The Children’s Discovery Garden is a 2-acre interactive environment.
It has a sensory garden, walking trails and several interactive displays.
The final piece installed to complete the garden is a 15-foot concrete sculpture called the Spring Giant.
"He's the source of the water for our stream valley feature which is a major component of the gardens..." Tulsa Botanic Gardens CEO Todd Lasseigne said. "We wanted to have a water feature, cause kids love water, and so that's the stream valley, and then the other feature we have is kind of an homage to our prairies, which we call the meadow."
Behind the Spring Giant, children can use water from the stream valley to paint pictures on a stone wall.
