Jet Ski Crash Sends One To Hospital Near Broken Bow

A Texas man was taken to the hospital after his jet ski was hit by another on Broken Bow Lake in McCurtain County. Troopers say the collision took place about 100 yards west of the Deer Drive ramp just before 9 p.m.

Claudio Negrete and Manuel Negrete, both of Fort Worth, were heading toward the ramp just before 9 p.m. Saturday. Claudio, 45, sped up to get Manuel Negrete's attention then hit the other jet ski when it turned left, the trooper said in his report.

Both men were ejected from the vehicles, according to the report.

Claudio Negrete wasn't hurt. Manuel Negrete, 42, was taken to an Idabel hospital where he's said to be stable with head, arm and internal injuries. The trooper said both men were wearing floatation devices.
