Edmond Memorial showed up to play in the quarterfinal round of the 6A state tournament, leaving the field with a 3-1 win over defending champion Owasso.
Scoring Synopsis
In the bottom of the first inning, Matt Conerly drilled a single to score Bryce Newsom, putting the Edmond Memorial up 1-0.
After a sacrifice fly ball, the Bulldogs advanced their lead 2-0.
Later, in the bottom of the second, the Bulldogs went up 3-0 when Newsom ripped one to the outfield, scoring Ethan Clay.
The Rams attempted to battle back in the top of the seventh but fell short, 3-1, after Will Bertolino got Conner Beichler to fly out to right field.
