The Tulsa Police Department has announced plans for a sobriety checkpoint this weekend. The DUI checkpoint is part of the department's "continued commitment to reducing injuries, deaths and raising awareness about the dangers caused by alcohol and drug-impaired drivers," a release states.
The checkpoint will be held from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. in the area of 4400 South Sheridan Road.

Sobriety checkpoints are conducted as part of the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office's ENDUI program with overtime funding by the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office.
