Something wonderful is happening on North Toledo Avenue in Tulsa, thanks to Rebuilding Together Tulsa and a team of volunteers.
Brady Pringle is part of a team of volunteers from Wells Fargo. They, along with Rebuilding Together Tulsa, are finishing up some work on a home.
Team member Kelly Hall said, "We are so excited to have these volunteers out today, they are hard workers."
They are putting the finishing touches on the house with a little paint. The house has already gotten a new roof and had some safety repairs done. PSO has done some electrical work, so the paint and some yard work will finish it off.
Michael and Anita have been together for ten years. Both are disabled and they've got a couple of grandkids between them, but were afraid to have the kids over because of the condition of the house.
But, thanks to the rehab project on their home, all that is changing and it's exciting.
"All of these people are taking time out of their busy lives. There are things they could be doing at their houses, and they come out and do this," they said.
When all the work is done, Michael and Anita are planning a little wedding in front of their newly painted house.
Rebuilding Together Tulsa provides free home repairs for low-income Tulsans. You can learn more about the program here.
