A Tulsa woman charged in the deaths of her two nieces pleaded guilty in Tulsa County court Wednesday. Miashah Moses was sentenced to 10 years in prison and five years probation in one count of child neglect.

The 2- and 5-year-old girls were staying with Moses, at the London Square Apartments when the apartment went up in flames in 2013. Investigators say the fire was caused by unattended food cooking on the stove.

The mother of the two girls talked to News On 6 anchor and reporter Erin Conrad on Sunday. The family did not want Miashah Moses to serve time in the deaths, saying it was an accident.
