Grocery stores can be a critical part of a community, and Warehouse Market opened a new store in Skiatook Tuesday.
It’s the first new Warehouse Market in Oklahoma in 20 years.
It's the result of a lot of research about what things folks want in a grocery store - like the freshest meat possible.
"We buy all the meat directly ourselves. We send a truck up to Liberal, Kansas, and so all our meat and all our pork is fresh off the farm, literally," Clint Cox said.
The company says they surveyed other successful grocery operations and this store represents 34,000 square feet of well-stocked shelves and fresh ideas.
Cox said they’ll carry organic and gluten-free foods, have a new way of labeling prices to appeal to different generations, and even took a hint from other stores for the artwork.
