The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a wreck about a mile west of Claremore on Highway 20 that sent one person to the hospital in serious condition.
According to the OHP report on the crash, a 2009 Toyota Corolla and a 2005 Jeep Liberty were eastbound on Highway 20 and traffic was stopping to turn at NS4120.
The OHP said, for an unknown reason, the Corolla, driven by 20-year-old Christopher Dawson, didn't stop and crashed into the back of the Liberty, driven by 52-year-old Gail Snyder.
The report says after Dawson struck Snyder, his Corolla went into the westbound lane and struck a third vehicle - a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 26-year-old Dane Rudeen - head-on.
The OHP said Dawson was pinned for nearly 20 minutes. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition with head, limb and internal injuries.
The other two drivers were not injured. The OHP said Dawson was not wearing a seat belt but the other two drivers were.
The News On 6 live traffic map showed the traffic back-up was near NW Franklin Road.
