There's a big renovation project going on now in Claremore. The one-time federal building in Rogers County is going to become the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.

The building is located across from the courthouse on Patty Page and Missouri. They plan to gut the building and restore it to how it originally looked in 1935.

Monday morning,  county commissioners approved an architect for the job. The goal is to gut the building, but restore it to the way it looked in 1935.

The work should take about a year to finish.
