The Oklahoma Department of Corrections has arrested one of its top fugitives.
Agents arrested Rocky Hall, 31, in Wewoka early Friday. The DOC says Hall walked away from the Tulsa Transitional Center on March 24.
They say they got a tip Hall was in Seminole County and tracked him down.
The DOC says Rocky Hall was one of its top 15 fugitives because of his history of violence and other related charges. Court records show Hall was in prison for several drug and assault convictions out of Ottawa County.
"Our agents in cooperation with outside law enforcement entities have again done a tremendous job of ensuring public safety is their top priority,” said Corrections Director Joe M. Allbaugh.
“We will continue our mission of protecting the public inside and outside of the state’s facilities.”
So far this year, the DOC says six of its top fugitives have been brought back into custody.
