A big day for a big guy is fast approaching. Tulsa's Golden Driller is turning 50, and Tulsa County is throwing him a party.
Help him celebrate at the Fairgrounds starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 9. Midlife Crisis will perform at the party which will set up at the Driller's large shoes.
"We'll be celebrating a big birthday for the big guy," said County Commissioner Karen Keith.
There is a $50 fee for the dance and band with proceeds to benefit the United Way. There's even an official hashtag for the event: #GOLDENDRILLER50.
At 8:30 p.m., there will be an open ceremony unveiling new lights for the big golden man.
