Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday morning in Rogers County. The wreck took place just before 6 a.m. on Highway 66 near the Verdigris River bridge.

Troopers say Archie Cole of Chelsea was driving a box truck that hit another vehicle from behind on the right rear corner. That vehicle, driven by Ricardo Decosta of Tulsa, flipped on the eastbound side of the highway.

The box truck had heavy damage to its cab. The vehicle on its side appeared to be a port-a-john service truck.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say both vehicles were eastbound when the box truck ran into the back of the service truck. Investigators say Cole was sleepy at the time of the crash.

Decosta, 36, was taken to the hospital by a medical helicopter. He was alert and talking, troopers say. A collision report said he was stable with head, leg and arm injuries.

Cole, 25, refused treatment at the scene. Both men were wearing their seat belts, the report states.
