Storms Push Through Oklahoma; Hail, Damaging Winds Possible

One line of storms past through Oklahoma Wednesday afternoon, but more severe weather is possible Wednesday evening.

The first line of storms spawned a Tornado Warning for Osage County just northwest of Pawhuska. It expired at 4:45 p.m. News On 6 storm trackers were in the area and said nothing touched the ground and the storm started to become less organized fairly quickly.

More storms are possible through the evening and the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Carter, Cleveland, Creek, Garvin, Kay, Lincoln, Logan, Love, McClain, Murray, Noble, Nowata, Oklahoma, Osage, Pawnee, Payne and Pottawatomie, Rogers, Tulsa and Washington counties until 9:00 p.m.

Heavy thunderstorms and small hail moved through Pawnee and Creek counties before noon, and heavy rain fell in the Tulsa metro.

As the dry line pushes east, the storm chances will ramp up in central Oklahoma. Best chances will be along I-35 initially.  Storms that develop there will push to the east taking threat into eastern Oklahoma.
