Firefighters Battle Brookside Apartment FIre

Tulsa firefighters are investigating after a fire at an apartment in Brookside.

It happened around 4 a.m. at the Swiss Rolanda Apartments off 45th and Peoria.

They say the fire was contained to one apartment but several others were damaged by smoke and water.

No residents were hurt, but firefighters say a pet died from the smoke.

"I'm glad to see all my neighbors made it out safe and everything,” Barbara Mormon said. “And the firefighters worked really quickly on this fire."

Firefighters say that because Station 18 is so close to the apartments, they were able to get there before the fire spread.
