Police ended a lengthy pursuit of a stolen car in east Tulsa Saturday afternoon.

Officers spent over 30 minutes pursuing the car across east and south Tulsa before it ended at a car wash at 41st Street and U.S. Highway 169.

Tulsa Police say an off-duty sheriff's deputy identified a reported stolen vehicle at the Woodland Hills Mall at 71st and Memorial. The rental car was reported stolen from the Tulsa International Airport.

Police said when officers confronted the driver and passenger at the mall, a pursuit started winding its way across south Tulsa eventually ending at the car wash.

During the pursuit, police said they deployed stop sticks about a dozen times and that's what brought the chase down to just 20 mph and eventually to a stop.

James Richardson, 40, of Tulsa, and Bailey Enloe, 19, of Collinsville, were arrested.

Richardson is being held on complaints of possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding, driving under suspicion, resisting arrest and interfering with a police officer.

Enloe was arrested for larceny of merchandise from a retailer and joyriding.
