Firefighters were able to contain a Sapulpa restaurant fire, and investigators are working to find the cause.
Flames broke out at Zayn’s Café in Town West around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon. Several witnesses said they didn’t see anyone inside when the fire started and don’t believe the restaurant was open.
Before firefighters were able to contain the flames there was a lot of heavy smoke and large flames.
There’s visible damage to the roof, and the inside looks totally charred.
Witness, Lisa Moore, said she was across the street with her family when she saw smoke pour out.
“We were at physical therapy over here, and we see the smoke in the building, and we were standing at the door watching it. Fire was shooting out the top of it and out the windows. We never heard a noise, probably a gas line busted. It was fire balls shooting out the top of it. It was pretty neat," she said.
Moore said it took firefighters about ten to 15 minutes to get it under control.
Authorities still have not said what caused the fire.
