Elderly Tulsa Woman Found Safe

<p>An elderly woman  last seen in south Tulsa at noon on Saturday has been found safe, police say. Her family says she went to Tahlequah.</p>

An elderly woman last seen in south Tulsa at noon on Saturday has been found safe, police say.

According to Tulsa police, Daisy Darrington dropped her granddaughter off at Budget Rental Car on 71st and Lewis about noon. She was last seen driving south on Lewis and still hadn’t been seen by 8 p.m.

Darrington's family contacted police to say she was in Tahlequah and is OK.

“Ms. Darrington has a history of forgetfulness and has gotten lost in Tulsa on previous incidents,” a news release says.

Darrington is described as a 78-year-old white female, 5-foot-4 and 100 pounds. She may be wearing glasses and was last seen wearing brown/gold pants, white tennis shoes and unknown color jacket.
