Sallisaw Police: Two Women Spent $10,000 On Stolen Credit Card

Sallisaw Police are looking for two women they believe stole a woman's wallet on March 8 and spent over $10,000 on her credit card.

Police told KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, after the theft, the women went to the Dollar General store on Cherokee Street in Sallisaw and spent about $2,000.  They said an attempt to spend another $500 was stopped.

The pair then traveled to Van Buren, Arkansas and made large purchases at Walgreens, Dollar General, Lowe's and a CVS Pharmacy with the stolen credit card, according to police.

Police said the pair then went to Fort Smith and made additional purchases at Best Buy, Target and Walgreens.  

Police say the two women were in a black Jeep Cherokee. They said the all purchases added up to more than $10,000.
