Driver Admits To Being High After Chase Ends In Crash, TPD Says

A police chase ended in a crash in east Tulsa Monday evening.

Police said they tried to stop a vehicle for speeding but the driver took off, hitting other vehicles, including a postal truck, along the way.

The man almost hit a police car before crashing near 21st and Mingo.

Officer Darrell Ross said, "He said that he was, he had ten shots and some heroin and he decided to go for a drive."

The driver was treated for minor injuries then arrested.

No one else was hurt.
