Police arrested the driver of a white Dodge mini van after a chase across Tulsa early Wednesday.
Officers said the chase began just before 1 a.m. when police ran a check on a suspicious vehicle near 3rd and Utica. They learned the van was reported stolen and was associated with a missing person.
When police tried to stop the mini van, they said its driver took off at a high rate of speed. The chase headed east on Interstate 44 to 161st East Avenue reaching speeds of at least 100 mph. Police were able to end the chase in a neighborhood near Pine and Yale when officers laid down spike strips in the road.
The driver, Adam Langston, 33, of Beaumont, Texas got out and ran. Authorities say - with the help of a K-9 officer - he was quickly apprehended.
EMSA paramedics checked him out before police booked Langston into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of being in possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding and having no driver's license. Jail records show Adam Langston has a court appearance set for March 9.
Police are still investigating the theft of the mini van.
