The OHP says alcohol played a role in a wreck on Highway 412 east of Catoosa that hurt three men Tuesday afternoon.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Jerry McIntosh, 65, of Tulsa was driving a 1995 Chevrolet pickup northbound on 4140 road when he failed to yield at a stop sign. The OHP said Junior Gossin, 31, of Silver Springs, Maryland was driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 eastbound on the highway and hit McIntosh's pickup on the driver's side.
Video from Osage SkyNews 6 HD showed that the Chrysler ended up in the grass on the north side of the highway, the pickup ended up on its roof in the median.
According to the OHP, McIntosh was admitted to a Tulsa hospital in serious condition. A passenger in his truck, 39-year-old Joseph Smith of Broken Arrow, was also admitted in serious condition.
The OHP listed McIntosh's condition at the time of the wreck as Drinking, Ability Impaired.
Gossin, the driver of the Chrysler, was admitted to the hospital in "stable" condition, according to the OHP.
