McClain County Crash Kills 65-Year-Old Purcell Man

A 65-year-old man Purcell man has been killed after apparently crossing his pickup over the center line in the roadway, hitting another vehicle and leaving the roadway.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident happened around 5:04 a.m. Saturday a few miles west of Purcell.

The 65-yr-old was pronounced dead at the scene from head and internal injuries. A passenger in his truck was admitted in stable condition to a local hospital with head, internal and hip injuries.

The patrolmen said both the driver and the passenger of the vehicle struck by the 65-year-old man were either treated or set to be released shortly after treatment.
