What some Tulsa Coaches are saying about Adidas . . .
Women's Basketball Coach Matilda Mossman:
“Adidas made it very clear that they wanted The University of Tulsa in their clientele. That means a lot! We look forward to a great working relationship with Adidas.”
Men’s Basketball Coach Frank Haith:
“We are extremely excited about this partnership with Adidas. The quality of the product is first class, and I know our players are extremely excited about putting on those uniforms. Seeing that the NBA wears Adidas, from a recruiting standpoint, I know it is something we can sell. Also, with the fact that our fans will be able to purchase some of the sideline gear, I think it's just going to be a terrific partnership.”
Cross Country and Track & Field Coach Steve Gulley:
“We are thrilled about our new partnership with Adidas. We are excited about the connection with Adidas and Tulsa track and field. The Adidas partnership will bring excitement to all Tulsa athletic programs.”
Football Coach Philip Montgomery:
“We're really thrilled to be partnering with Adidas especially on a long-term deal. Adidas is a company that has been on the creative edge of where uniforms are going from a look standpoint. To have that type of influence as to what our game apparel and uniforms will look like, will help us in recruiting and across the board. Plus, the number one thing is that our student-athletes will be provided with more gear and high quality gear that will be lasting throughout.”
Women's Golf Coach Emilee Klein-Gille:
“The Adidas line is wonderful for golf. I've been fortunate to be associated with Adidas before. It's very well-fitting and very flattering for the women. I've always loved having Adidas apparel as part of our uniform for my golf teams. Adidas has been extremely helpful and has bent over backwards to help us find products that will fit our athletes. I appreciate that very much because it's really hard sometimes to find the right products, but Adidas has really helped in that aspect.”
Rowing Coach Kevin Harris:
“I am very excited to have Adidas as our uniform provider for TU Rowing. They have excellent equipment, which puts our rowers in a great position to perform at the highest levels. I have also been very impressed with the level of service and support they have already given us. We are very much looking forward to sporting the Adidas logo on our gear in 2016-2017!”
Women's Soccer Coach Kyle Cussen:
“I’m excited to start working with Adidas. It is apparent that they view The University of Tulsa as a premier program for their brand. I believe this is a win/win for everyone. Adidas is known worldwide in soccer, so I believe this will not only help our current program by outfitting our players with the best footwear and apparel, but it will give us validity in recruiting as well.”
Men's Soccer Coach Tom McIntosh:
“I am excited to continue our partnership with Adidas that has lasted nearly 20 years with the men’s soccer program. Adidas is a world leader in soccer and they have provided us excellent products and service over the last 20 years. I believe in providing our players the best equipment on the market and Adidas gives us the opportunity to achieve that goal. I look forward to continuing what has already been a great relationship between The University of Tulsa men’s soccer program, Mac’s National Soccer School and Adidas.”
Softball Coach John Bargfeldt:
“I'm excited with the opportunity that we're going to have with Adidas, in terms of the quality of the product. First of all, financially, it's a great move for us, and secondly, we get the same choices on product as everybody in the country. To be able to have the whole catalog at our choosing is something new to us that will really benefit our program. I've seen a number of teams across the nation wearing Adidas softball gear, and I've been really impressed with everything that I've seen.”
Women's Tennis Coach Dean Orford:
“We feel the partnership with Adidas will be extremely beneficial to the tennis program. Adidas is a dominant brand internationally that a majority of athletes choose to use for a reason. We are excited about our future with Adidas.”
Director of Tennis and Men's Tennis Coach Vince Westbrook:
“In tennis, adidas is the top shoe around the world. We’re excited that we are going to be with Adidas for the next eight years. Our program was with adidas years ago and we were always impressed with their professional service and commitment to our team. The quality of their products is second to none.”
Volleyball Coach Ryan Wills:
“We are excited about our partnering with adidas and the commitment they have made to our athletic department. adidas makes extremely high-quality volleyball apparel and equipment that will be great for our student-athletes. adidas will help us continue our tradition of success as a volleyball program.”
