Gas prices around Tulsa dropped again. Several stations in east Tulsa and Broken Arrow are selling gas at $1.19 per gallon.
GasBuddy.com says the average price for gasoline in the Tulsa area is $1.32.
And what a difference a few months makes. Back in July 2015, GasBuddy.com said gasoline was at $2.62 a gallon. Near the end of September, it had dropped to $2.10 and by the beginning of December it was even lower at $1.71.
Industry experts say there continues to be a glut of crude oil in U.S. stockpiles and combined with lower demand, the price at the pump continues to drop.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate for March delivery settled down 4.5 percent to $28.30 on Tuesday. It’s the third time since the start of the year that a barrel of light sweet crude has closed below $29.
