It was quite a battle in the desert on Monday night during Oklahoma City’s 122-106 win over the Phoenix Suns.
Fifty-nine fouls were called, four technical.
OKC and Phoenix have a history of mixing it up and it was evident last night. The Suns led by six midway through the third quarter. Then, in about a six minute period between the third and fourth, the Thunder went on a 24-7 run, triggered by a three-pointer from Kevin Durant.
"I missed some early in the third, but you know, got me going. Confidence is always sky high, but once I started making a few, especially threes, when you make threes I think that gets you going a little bit more,” said Durant.
Oklahoma City finished the matchup with 15 from long range.
The Thunder now has a chance for win number 40 at home against New Orleans before the All-Star break. Tipoff is set for Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
