Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a Stilwell man got into a wreck after his passenger punched him in the face.

Driver Rudy Wolfe was northbound on Bell Road a few miles south of Stilwell just after 6 p.m. Monday. Troopers say his passenger, Christina Fencer, hit him in the mouth, causing him to lose control of his vehicle. His 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe hit a tree and rolled one time.

The 38-year-old Wolfe sustained head and other injuries while his 21-year-old passenger had head, arm and leg and trunk injuries. Wolfe was wearing a seatbelt while Fencer was not, a collision report states. Troopers say Fencer, also a Stilwell resident, was in guarded condition.

Wolfe was treated and released from the Stilwell Hospital.

Authorities believe alcohol contributed to the wreck.
