Troopers are investigating after a woman walking on the Turner Turnpike was hit and killed. It happened in the eastbound lanes near the Creek Turnpike interchange in Sapulpa.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers tell us they were notified last night when the woman's boyfriend called police from his home in Tulsa. He told them his girlfriend may have gotten out of his car on the turnpike.
The OHP says it appears the woman may have been struck twice while walking on the interstate.

Trooper Dwight Durant said it appears the car was moving at highway speeds when she left the vehicle. It's not know why or how she left the vehicle.
Troopers have interviewed the boyfriend. No arrests have been made.
Charges, if any, will be decided by the Creek County District Attorney.
