Hale High School released a statement to parents and family regarding an on-going sexual assault investigation.
Thursday Tulsa Police responded to the school after a 17-year-old female student with special needs claimed she was raped by an 18-year-old classmate.
Through their investigation, police arrested Sean Adams on complains of first-degree rape and forcible sodomy after he turned himself in.

According to reports, the victim told police Adams grabbed her arm, walked her off campus and took her behind a nearby business’ dumpster.
She said Adams took off his pants and told her to perform sexual acts and she told him no. The report says Adams got angry, sexually assaulted the girl and told her to “stop tripping.”
In a letter released from Hale High School principal, Caleb Starr, he addressed the investigation and said the school is fully cooperating with police and that safety is their top priority.
“I want to assure you that we take student and staff safety very seriously at Hale High School, and throughout our district…I am confident in the measures and policies that we have at the school to keep our students safe,” the letter reads.
Starr also addresses there are cameras throughout the campus and TPS Campus Police officers are on site each day.
He said the district has a strong relation with TPD and they will continue to work closely with them on the investigation.
