Josh Jacobs played quarterback for McLain. He mostly ran and ran very well.
He led the state in rushing yards but he had limited interest. But two weeks ago, he decided to do what many other high school students do. "The biggest thing is when he added twitter," said his father Marty.
"After I started, it just blew up, people making fan pages of me,” added Josh. “Some dudes from Texas I never even met saw my film; they helped me put it out there."
His film spread quickly and big name programs like Alabama, Oklahoma and Missouri were very interested, so Josh and his dad hopped in the car and made visits.
"It's funny; you have a perception of what they would be like and then when you meet them they're like humble, down to earth guys,” Marty explained. “It threw me.”
On Wednesday, Josh will decide where he wants to go, and no it's not UNC despite the sweater he wore.
He hopes the attention his recruiting has grabbed lifts up his community.
"Kind of a face for the Northside out here, so they'll be all supportive. It's been cool,” Josh stated. “Everybody's just waiting on the decision."
