Muskogee police have made one arrest and are looking for two more suspects after an altercation that ended in a double shooting at the Days Inn on Sunday morning.
Investigators say the three suspects are Beau Trotter, 29, Jason Maxwell, 32, and Brittany Chuckluck (aka Griggs), 25. Maxwell was taken into custody at 4:15 p.m., and the others still are at large. They are considered armed and dangerous, police say.
According to MPD, a caller reported seeing people running from the motel about 6 a.m. Officers said once they arrived, they found blood on a sidewalk and a room in the motel appeared to have been the scene of a struggle, a report says.
“The scene was secured by patrol officers and we were later told that the victims had been taken to Eastar Emergency room, where investigators made contact with the victims, who were identified as Mark Cox, and Kenny Middleton,” a statement from MPD says. “Their injuries appear to be non-life threatening at this time. Cox was shot multiple times including gunshots in his legs and arms. Middleton was shot once in the area of his left wrist, and both men had been assaulted with various items that were in the room.”
Trotter is described as a white male, 5-foot-8, 185 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Chuckluck is described as an American Indian woman, 5-foot-3, 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo across her neck that says "Emmanuel."
Investigators say that at some point, Chuckluck lured the two victims into the motel room on South 32nd Street, and when the men arrived and entered the room, they were attacked by Maxwell and Trotter.
In connection to the case, MPD says it also is also looking for an unknown model grey Ford Windstar minivan with an unknown tag number.
Muskogee police also say they're familiar with all three suspects. Chuckluck has several driving-related charges, Trotter's record includes arson, domestic abuse and drug charges, and Maxwell has had five felony arrests since 2012, including abuse and kidnapping.
The suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous, and any information regarding their whereabouts, please call 918-680-3116.
