John's Take: OSU vs. Auburn

Oklahoma State made the rather lengthy trip from Stillwater to Auburn, Alabama. The Cowboys first flew to Columbus, Georgia, and then took the bus about 45 minutes to get to their destination.

It's kind of unique, and some would say odd, timing for the Big 12/SEC Challenge to be played on the final Saturday in January when teams are in the midst of conference play. 

And both teams need a win. 

Auburn will enter the matchup 9-10 overall and 3-5 in the SEC. 

But the Tigers are a much different team at home than on the road. They were blowout losers on the road in two games last week. 

Prior to that, all they did was knock off Kentucky and then a decent Alabama team back-to-back at home. 

Tipoff set for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening.
