Eight Oklahomans, including two state prison inmates were charged this week in federal court in Muskogee with operating a methamphetamine drug ring across eastern and central Oklahoma.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma says Cody McClendon, 35, of Tahlequah, Michael Lincoln, 39, of Tulsa, Amber Claphan, 33, of Stilwell, Donald Trammel, 40, of Tahlequah, Samantha Smith, 21, of Muskogee, Teresa Chagolla, 54, of Tahlequah, Jacob Masters, 54, of Tulsa, and Nathan Green, 27, of Hulbert are charged with drug conspiracy.
In a news release, federal prosecutors allege that from about June 2015 until this month, McClendon used a cell phone while in the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester to coordinate the buying and selling of the drug.
Michael Lincoln is also in the state penitentiary in McAlester.
Federal prosecutors says the charges arose from a joint investigation by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Tahlequah Police, Muskogee Police, Bureau of Indian Affairs and the DEA.
