The awards continue to pile up for Bishop Kelley Comet Dallas Keuchel.
The Astros ace is in Oklahoma City tonight to collect the Warren Spahn Award, given to baseball's top left-handed pitcher.
Keuchel says it’s an honor to be the first Oklahoman to take home the award.
"What a joy it is to finally come back and receive this award which so many deserving recipients have won before me,” he said. “And it's in the name of the greatest lefthander in all of baseball history."
Other notable Comets:
- Bishop Kelley's Daniel DeSimone is one of five players who will take home the Ferguson Jenkins Student-Athlete Award.
-Comet head baseball coach Scott Ellis will be honored as baseball coach of the year.
