An overnight chase ended in a crash. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the chase started around 3:30 a.m. Thursday near 11th and Delaware.

Troopers say Michel A. Mikus led them down the Broken Arrow Expressway and Interstate 44, then went up to Catoosa. Troopers had called off the chase and were coming back to Tulsa when they came across his wrecked car along the exit ramp from westbound I-44 to 161st East Avenue.

Mikus was taken to the hospital to be checked out. He is expected to be arrested.

No one else was hurt.

Troopers told the News On 6, they believe Mikus ran because he had outstanding felony warrants. A records search shows the 58-year-old man has a long criminal history, mostly of fraud convictions.
