The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office and Rescuers were on the scene after a boat sank east of Sally Jones Lake near Vian, Oklahoma Sunday morning, according to Sheriff Ron Lockhart.

The missing men were duck hunting early Sunday morning when their boat capsized, Sheriff Lockhart said.

"The boat just sunk and filled with water," he said.

The capsized boat was found near the Moody Boat Ramp in the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refugee, KFSM reports. The hunters were standing on top of the boat when swift water rescue crews arrived.

Sheriff Lockhart said the men were located around 7 a.m. and were placed on a rescue boat to be treated. Vian and McKey firefighters did an outstanding job rescuing the hunters, Lockhart said.

The hunters were treated by medics and are expected to be OK.
