Tulsa Police have identified the officer who shot at a fleeing suspect in the 4900 block of South Yorktown on January 16.

Police said officers were responding to reports of shots fired in the neighborhood. They said the suspect, Dujuan Atkins, 23, was attempting to leave in a car when they got there but then tried to run away.

Police said Officer Jason Angel, 29, fired at Atkins but did not hit him. Officers arrested Atkins a short time later.

Dujuan Atkins is being held in the Tulsa County jail on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and interfering with a police officer. Jail records show he has a court hearing for January 22.
