Flu season typically peaks in January and February, and it is making itself felt in Oklahoma.
According to Walgreen’s flu index (tracker) across the country, Oklahoma ranks second in the nation for states as far as flu activity. Nevada ranks first and Arizona third. Neighboring Texas is number four.
When it comes to cities in the nation, Oklahoma City ranks fourth for flu activity.
Tulsa is not listed in the top 10.
Pharmacists said it’s not nearly as bad as it was last year. They think that’s because this year’s flu shot has better coverage than last year’s did.
