Tulsa Police: Woman Leaves Bar, Crashes Into Pole

A a woman is recovering after driving her car into a pole overnight. Tulsa Police responded to the call near 51st and Mingo at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers say a friend of the driver told them she just got into an argument with the driver at a nearby bar. The friend says she didn't want the driver to drive home drunk, but the driver left anyway.

The friend then hopped into her own car to follow the driver and watched her slam head-on into a pole.

EMSA took the driver to the hospital with a fractured ankle and a head injury.
