The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the body of a missing Salina woman was discovered in her car in Lake Hudson Thursday.
Amy Edwards, 37, was last seen Monday morning, January 4, 2016 on her way to work at Lakeside Bank in Salina.
According to the OHP, Edwards was northbound on Highway 82 at a high rate of speed when she ran off the right side of the roadway. The OHP said her 2013 Ford Focus traveled about 900 feet before crossing back over the road to the left where it hit a rock head on and then went into the lake.
Troopers said the car was submerged until Thursday afternoon. The lake level had gone down far enough to reveal part of the car and a person who lives at Lake Shore RV Park alerted authorities and they found her body inside.
