Warrant Issued For Man Connected To Body Found In Caney River

The Rogers County District Attorney’s office has issued a second warrant for a man connected to a body found in the Caney River last year.

In May of 2015, investigators arrested Roman Medrano for the murder of Rafael Hernandez-Torres, who was found in the truck of his car which had been dumped in the Caney River near Highway 169.

Tuesday, the D.A.’s office issued a first-degree murder warrant for Adan Mora-Ramos.

Torres was found shot to death in the trunk of his car on May 1st. Investigators believe Torres was killed not far from where his car was found and said Medrano knew the area.

Investigators said the motive was robbery; Torres' wallet and cash was stolen the night of his murder.

Torres' family said he was a very hard worker and owned his own taxi cab service.
